For best results, place your pillowcases in a mesh laundry bag to protect them from tangling with rougher items especially anything with zippers or buttons. If you’re washing them with other garments, avoid bulky or abrasive fabrics.

 

Step 3: Gentle Detergent Only

 

Choose a mild, gentle detergent that’s free from bleach or fabric softeners. These additives can break down satin and silk fibers, reducing shine and softness over time.

 

Step 4: Cold, Delicate Wash

 

Wash on a cold, delicate cycle to preserve the texture and longevity of your fabric. If hand washing, gently swish the pillowcases in cool water—no twisting or wringing!

 

Step 5: Hang to Dry
